Platinum’s Wonderful

The Wonderful 101 is truly a…wonderful game. It’s hard to appreciate at first, especially the isometric view which might mislead people that this game plays like Bastion or even Zelda. The game, however, plays more closely to Devil May Cry or Bayonetta in a sense that you focus on making combos and dodging enemies.

What makes this game truly a gift for me is, of course, the superhero theme. This isn’t the first supehero/tokusatsu themed game director Hideki Kamiya made and I love both. If there was ever a game thematically made for me, this is it.
Seriously.
